Pakistan Visa Requirements for Indian Nationals

Essential Information for Indian Travelers

Introduction

All Indian citizens planning to visit Pakistan must possess a valid visa. The visa application process is relatively straightforward, and the basic requirements are as follows:

Visa Requirements

• Passport: A valid passport with a minimum of six months' validity is required.
• Visa Application Form: Indian nationals can apply for their visas online or at the Pakistan High Commission/Consulate in India.
• Photograph: A passport-size photograph is required.
• Proof of Accommodation: A hotel booking confirmation or an invitation letter from a Pakistani host is necessary.
• Proof of Funds: Applicants must demonstrate sufficient financial means to support themselves during their stay in Pakistan.
• Invitation Letter: If visiting family or friends, an invitation letter from the host is required.

Travel Restrictions

According to the latest news reports, Pakistan has imposed entry restrictions on travelers from 26 countries, including India. However, these restrictions do not apply to Indian citizens who hold a valid visa.

Tourist Visa on Arrival

Indian citizens who wish to obtain a Tourist Visa on Arrival (TVOA) can do so if they are citizens of the following countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand.

Foreign Nationals of Indian Origin

Foreign nationals of Indian origin who wish to visit Pakistan must apply for a visa in advance. They are not eligible for TVOA.

Online Visa Service

The Government of Pakistan, in collaboration with the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), has introduced an Online Visa service. Indian citizens can apply for their visas online at https://www.visa.nadra.gov.pk/.

COVID-19 Entry Requirements

Unvaccinated visitors from India can enter Pakistan without any restrictions. COVID-19 testing is not a requirement for entry.

Additional Notes

Tourist visas are not available at this time. However, Indian citizens can apply for visas to visit family and friends with the necessary documentation.
