Bulls Use Fourth-Quarter Surge to Seal Play-In Victory
Twenty-One Fourth-Quarter Points Propel Chicago to Triumph
Twenty-One fourth-quarter points proved crucial for the Chicago Bulls as they rallied past the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA Play-In tournament. Despite trailing by 19 points in the third quarter, the Bulls rallied to secure a 116-110 victory and advance to the final round of the Play-In.
Led by Coby White's game-high 42 points, the Bulls exploded for 30 points in the second half. DeMar DeRozan added 25 points, while Nikola Vucevic contributed 20 points and 12 rebounds. The Bulls were also aided by a strong bench effort, with Ayo Dosunmu and Patrick Williams combining for 28 points.
The Hawks were paced by Trae Young's 34 points, John Collins' 20 points, and Dejounte Murray's 16 points. However, the Bulls' defense tightened in the fourth quarter, limiting the Hawks to just 18 points and forcing seven turnovers.
With this victory, the Bulls advance to the final round of the Play-In tournament, where they will face either the Cleveland Cavaliers or the Brooklyn Nets for a berth in the Eastern Conference playoffs.
