Former Quarterback Star Fails To Impress Nfl Scouts

Notre Dame's Sam Hartman Falls Out of 2024 NFL Draft

Former Quarterback Star Fails to Impress NFL Scouts

Hartman's Size and Age Not Enough to Compensate for Lack of Impact

Former Notre Dame quarterback Sam Hartman has failed to make an impact in the NFL, falling out of the 2024 draft entirely. Hartman, who is 24 years old and stands 6 ft 1 in and weighing 212 lb, was once considered a promising prospect. However, his performance on the field has not lived up to expectations.

Hartman led Notre Dame to a 10-3 record in his senior season, throwing for 3,758 yards and 35 touchdowns. However, his completion percentage of 60.5% and his 14 interceptions raised concerns among NFL scouts. Hartman also struggled with injuries, missing several games in his college career.

In the NFL, Hartman was expected to compete for a backup quarterback role. However, he failed to impress in training camp and preseason games. His arm strength and accuracy were not at the level that NFL teams were looking for. Hartman's size and age also worked against him, as teams were looking for younger, more athletic quarterbacks.

Hartman is now a free agent and it is unclear if he will continue his football career. He has not received any offers from NFL teams and it is unlikely that he will be able to find a starting role in the Canadian Football League or other professional leagues.
