Timo Werner: Tottenham loanee discusses future amid Arsenal links
German forward has impressed since joining Spurs on loan from RB Leipzig
Werner has started three games in a row with Kulusevski on the bench for the previous couple
Timo Werner has admitted he is enjoying playing for Tottenham but refused to be drawn on his future amid links with Arsenal.
The German forward joined Spurs on loan from RB Leipzig in the January transfer window and has quickly become a fan favorite, scoring four goals in 11 appearances.
Werner has started the last three games for Tottenham, with Dejan Kulusevski dropping to the bench. And the 26-year-old admits he is happy with his current situation.
"I am enjoying playing for Tottenham," Werner said. "I am getting regular playing time and I am scoring goals. I am happy here."
However, Werner refused to rule out a move to Arsenal in the future.
"I have a contract with Chelsea until 2025," Werner said. "I am focused on playing for Tottenham for the rest of the season. We will see what happens in the summer."
Werner's comments come amid speculation that Arsenal are interested in signing him.
The Gunners are in need of a new striker, with Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah both out of contract at the end of the season.
Werner would be a good fit for Arsenal, as he is a proven goalscorer with experience playing in the Premier League.
However, it is unclear whether Tottenham would be willing to sell Werner to a direct rival.
The German forward is a valuable asset to Spurs, and they will be reluctant to let him go, especially if they qualify for the Champions League.
