Canucks' Podkolzin to Make NHL Debut Tonight
Vancouver Canucks prospect Vasily Podkolzin will make his NHL debut tonight against the Edmonton Oilers. The 19-year-old Russian forward has been one of the most exciting prospects in the Canucks' system since being drafted 10th overall in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft.
In 33 games with the Utica Comets, the Canucks' AHL affiliate, Podkolzin has recorded 12 goals and 16 assists. He has also been a force on the power play, scoring four goals with the man advantage.
Podkolzin is expected to play on a line with Brock Boeser and Elias Pettersson tonight. The Canucks will be looking for Podkolzin to provide some much-needed scoring depth.
